Meet The Head of Upper School
As a member of the WIS community, I hope to inspire children to reach for their dreams and support them as they work hard to make them a reality. I hope the students who I have the pleasure of working with, develop a love of learning - one that reaches far beyond their school years and one that will stretch them for a lifetime.

Academically, the Upper School at GEMS Wellington international School, provides the next level in learning, promoting an incredibly strong sense of independence, where students take pride in their achievements and are celebrated for their excellent commitment to continuous improvement. Year 10, the beginning of Key Stage 4, marks the start of a challenging and stimulating two year GCSE journey for many of our students, transitioning seamlessly from Year 9. With over 24 GCSE subjects on offer for students to choose from, we really do cater for the needs of every individual. From Art and Photography, to Economics and Astronomy, our desire is to provide the right pathway for every child. In order to ensure that everyone finds their own way, we offer personalised intervention for all in the form of our ‘WISdom’ Project, as well as the key and targeted support provided by our Achievement Centre.
Pastorally, as is the same in the Middle School, each student is a part of our incredibly strong House system, as well as a Tutor group. The Form Tutor becomes the main point of contact for our families, a member of staff that your child will see every morning for Registration. This member of staff will ensure that your child has everything they need for the day, as well as ensuring that your child’s well-being is placed at the heart of the school.
