Michelle Jardine
Assistant Headteacher - Primary Learning and Teaching
My passion has always been to instill a love of lifelong learning, empowering children to thrive both inside and beyond the classroom. I graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a First-Class BA (Hons) degree in Early Years Education and was honoured with the Crescents Prize for the Most Promising Beginning Teacher, which recognised my dedication, creativity, and drive to make a difference in the lives of young learners.
During my early career in the UK, I worked in schools with diverse socio-demographics and gained experience leading several subjects, which developed my adaptability and strengthened my leadership skills. In 2020, I joined GEMS Wellington International School as a Year 2 teacher. A year later, I became Head of Year 1, and after two successful years, I transitioned into my current role as Assistant Head Teacher of Teaching and Learning across the Primary Phase.
In this role for the past two years, I have been privileged to mentor Early Career Teachers and support staff professional growth through bespoke coaching and professional development. I have also led the design and implementation of innovative learning frameworks that build resilience, curiosity, and creativity, ensuring students are prepared with the skills they need for a rapidly changing world.
At every stage of my career, my commitment has remained the same: to enrich each child’s educational journey with inspiration, growth, and success, while nurturing in them the joy and curiosity that underpins lifelong learning.
