Assistant Headteacher - Year 5-7 Student Culture and Experience
After completing my degree at the University of York, I decided to study for my PGCE and realised my dream of becoming a teacher. I taught Upper Key Stage 2 in lots of different schools around the UK and, in 2019, I made the move to Dubai to start my International School journey. Since being at GEMS Wellington International School, I have held the roles of Year 6 teacher, Head of Year, Head of Emerald House and now Assistant Head of Year 5-7. I am a firm believer that schools are not just places for academic success but that a student’s educational journey really supports them in being able to grow and develop themselves in all aspects of life. This is why I enjoy my pastoral leadership role so much.
