I am now in my third year here at WIS and
Dubai after more than a decade of teaching in the United Kingdom, predominantly
at academically high performing and selective schools. After gaining a Bachelor
of Arts degree in Geography and Economics, I undertook a PGCE in Geography at
the Institute of Education, University of London. Since then, I have not looked
back and have previous experience in academic and pastoral leadership.
I am passionate about young people making the most of their time
at school and always want to encourage students to make the most of the
abundant opportunities on offer. Outside the classroom, I have led a number of
international school trips, from Morocco to Sri Lanka and Yorkshire to the
Alps, as well as coaching a variety of sports teams to victory in a number of
regional and national competitions. My aim is to lead by example and for my
students to live up to the WIS Way and the new guiding principles of Empathy,
Integrity and Fortitude. I am excited to have this opportunity to take the year
group through to the culmination of their IGCSEs and BTECs and look forward to
working alongside them, their parents, and the wider school community.
