Benjamin Sharratt

Vice Principal - Culture for Learning

Having now been in Dubai for ten years, I have held the posts of Head of Year, Head of House, Deputy Headteacher and Head of School before moving into my privileged role of whole-school Vice Principal at WIS, where I proudly oversee our ‘Culture for Learning’.

For a large part of my career, I have been involved in school improvement, with a particular focus on raising standards in Learning, Teaching and Assessment practices within schools requiring rapid change. I have worked as an Advanced Skills Teacher, Lead Practitioner and a Local Authority Advisor for Maths, Phonics and EAL. I hold the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) from the London Institute for Education, and work extensively across our Wellington Cluster and wider GEMS network, leading on our High-Performance Learning Program (HPL), whilst also focusing on quality assurance practices and inspection preparation support.
