Head of Emerald House
After completing my degree at the University of York, I decided to study for my PGCE and realised my dream of becoming a teacher. I taught Upper Key Stage 2 in lots of different schools around the UK and, in 2019, I made the move to Dubai to start my International School journey. Since being at GEMS Wellington International School, I have held the roles of Year 6 teacher, Head of Year and now, Head of Emerald House. I am a firm believer that schools are not just places for academic success but that a student’s educational journey really supports them in being able to grow and develop themselves in all aspects of life. This is why I enjoy my pastoral leadership role so much.
In Emerald House, the students are hard-working, creative and kind-hearted. This is our house ethos and is at the heart of everything we do. All members of Emerald House (staff, parents and students) are working towards the shared goal of ensuring that every young person in Emerald is able to succeed and achieve to their best potential.
