Deputy Head of Learning & Teaching- Centre of Excellence
I joined GEMS Wellington International School in 2012 after spending time at international schools in Luxembourg and Bermuda. I began my teaching career in Hertfordshire in the UK.
I have an MA in International Relations from the University of St Andrews, a PGCE in History from the University of Bath and a Masters in Education from UCL London. I firmly believe in the importance of continuing education not just at school but for all our lives. I have successfully completed the GEMS senior leadership course.
I have spent most of my time at WIS working with the IB students, helping them to gain confidence and encourage them to be as successful as possible. I have seen hundreds of students head off to university and every year I get to hear how successful they are in their future careers.
I firmly believe in the importance of high-quality learning and teaching. I have spent the last four years working with Project Zero based at Harvard University and bringing their action research into WIS to ensure all teachers are continuously improving their practice and staying innovative.
