Benjamin Sharratt

Vice Principal - Culture for Learning

During my six-year tenure in Dubai, I have held the posts of Head of House, Head of Year, Assistant Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher of a 3-18 World IB School before returning to GEMS as Head of Lower School in 2020.

For a large part of my teaching career, I have been involved in school improvement, with a particular focus on raising standards in Learning, Teaching and Assessment practices within schools requiring rapid change and progress where, I acted as a lead and advisory teacher for Maths, Phonics and EAL. I am also currently working with the High-Performance Learning Program both at WIS and across other GEMS schools where I lead and advise Teachers and Leaders in developing a ‘Performance Mindset’ and realizing the potential of all students.
