Lucy Tyrrell Senior Leader

Hi, my name is Lucy Tyrell and I am the Phase Leader for Foundation Stage 1

and 2.  I was born and raised in London and did my teaching degree with music as a specialist in Reading.

I have had experience working in the Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 as well as some experience in Key Stage 2.  I have been nursery manager, music coordinator, PE coordinator and also literacy coordinator.  I have also done some consultancy work for my local authority.
I absolutely love working with all children but especially those in the early years.  They are so inquisitive, imaginative and keen to learn that it makes coming to work everyday such fun.  I feel that children need to build on their life experiences in a fun and play based atmosphere.  The classroom environment needs to be bright, exciting and must encourage all the imaginative learning opportunities possible.
In my free time I like meeting and making new friends, going out for meals, reading, swimming and walking.  My main passion is music, especially playing the piano and singing.  I also coordinate the Wellington International School Choir.  If you need to contact me then please email ltyrell@wisdubai.sch.ae
