GEMS Wellington International School through its partnership with HP, provides students with a state-of-the-art IT infrastructure aimed at creating a wireless world by providing 'anytime anywhere access'.
As part of the solution, ProCurve implemented a 10G backbone network infrastructure, delivering Gigabit connectivity to the desktop. With this, GEMS Wellington International School is the first school in the Middle East with this facility. Along with a unique ProCurve wireless solution, students are provided access anytime and anywhere, based on the user's profile. ProCurve's Adaptive EDGE Architecture™ can scale and adapt to future needs of the school as well as maximizes returns on current infrastructure.
GEMS Wellington International School students hace access to several ICT laboratories with full connectivity to the internet, which are made available for students to enhance their technical learning skills.

One of these laboratories has full 'language lab' facilities. A further bank of 24 computers in the library allows students to browse and research across subjects. All classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards, multi-media projctirs and docking stations for laptops. Students are able to bring into school and use their own laptops which are configured to the network.
Robotics World in the Observatory is a specialist ICT area where a whole range of control technology courses can be undertaken.
All facilities are protected by the most modern firewall technology thus preventing acces to any undesirable material.
